Patching & repairs
Stud walls & partitions
Many small holes and cracks in ceilings and walls can be repaired without the requirement of a full re-skim, saving you money.
Stud walls and partitions can be erected to seperate rooms or form storage cupboards etc. Once built they can be insulated, plasterboarded and a final plaster skim applied.
Rendering
Artex removal
Rendering forms a protective and attractive coating for external walls, which once completed can be painted. Services range from small rendering repairs, to complete property re-renders. A wide range of textured finishes are available from pebble-dashing to tyrolean.
Dated and unsightly artex can be removed without having to replace or board over the existing ceiling. A backing plaster is applied to remove the texture, followed by a final skim leaving the ceiling perfectly smooth.
Dot & Dabbing
Wall & ceiling skimming
Tired walls and ceilings can be skimmed with 2 coats of finishing plaster to leave a perfectly smooth wall or ceiling, ready for painting.
Dot & dabbing is another form of plaster-boarding. Mainly used on bare brick or blockwork walls, the boards are secured using drywall adhesive rather than screws. Dot & dabbing is quicker and less costly than applying a backing plaster followed by a plaster skim.
Plaster-boarding
Many projects require plasterboard to form walls and ceilings fixed with plasterboard screws. All corners are fitted with angle beads to form a perfect finish and joints are taped. This eliminates possible cracking when final plaster skim is applied.
